Because the capabilities of CSNs are not the same, they should be grouped based on the results of the evaluations that have been carried out. The purpose of this study is to group children with special needs who receive therapy at Mutiara Al Islam Therapy based on the progress of their mathematical skills. For grouping, use the K-Means Algorithm because this method can be effective in grouping data. Data was obtained from the Mutiara Al Islam therapy institution in Surakarta. The data is in the form of initial math skill scores and new math skill scores, the next process is calculated as a percentage increase in intentions, then clustered. The result of this study is the formation of 2 clusters, namely low improvment and high improvment, so that it can help therapists to improve CSN math skills based on the results of the cluster. Based on the results of the silhouette validity test, the accuracy level of cluster 1 is 0.575629 and cluster 2 is 0.471283.
2024-08-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 DWI REMAWATIhttps://journal.ittishal.net/index.php/ierj/article/view/70The Development of Life Skills for Children with Disabilities at SMA AL Firdaus Sukoharjo2024-08-26T02:25:54+00:00Saly Kurnia Octavianisally@sinus.ac.idP Prihantoprihanto@sinus.ac.idDziky Ridwanullahdzikyr@sinus.ac.id
Every citizen has a legally protected right to an education. All citizens, including those with special needs, have the right to receive education tailored to their unique requirements. In order to prepare them for life in society, education for children with special needs is also guaranteed. The development of skill education that aligns with talent and demand is a critical component of skill provision. Therefore, educational institutions must prepare their students with hard skills to join in society. This study is qualitative descriptive research since it describes the life skills that children with special needs are taught. Methods for collecting data include in-depth interviews. Triangulating sources is a method for examining the information you need and wish to locate. The findings of this study demonstrate that teaching life skills to kids with special needs involves a multi-phase approach. Initially, there are three assessments; academic, development, and non-academic/specialty to map out children's interests and talents when they initially enroll at Al Firdaus school. The second step is teaching CorelDraw life skills to kids with special needs. Third, kids with special needs are taken into account when it comes to CorelDraw life skills.
2024-08-10T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Saly Kurnia Oktavianihttps://journal.ittishal.net/index.php/ierj/article/view/86Teacher and Student Capital in Addressing Social Inequality2024-10-10T08:44:41+00:00Putri Dwiputriindah@unesa.ac.idNur’aini Inayahnurainiinayah@unesa.ac.idEufrasia Kartika Hanindraputrieufrasiahanindraputri@unesa.ac.idKhalid Syaifullahkhalidsyaifullah@unesa.ac.id
Social inequality in the field of education impacts the implementation of educational goals, causing them to be less than optimal. Education should be accessible to all members of society. The changes occurring in the educational sector require all actors to adapt and follow these changes. This study aims to identify and analyze the strategies employed by teachers and students in addressing social inequality in education during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research utilizes a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. A phenomenological approach was chosen in this research to reveal and understand the phenomenon of gaps in education by teachers and students as well as the strategies used by teachers and students in dealing with these gaps. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, documentation, and the use of previous studies as references for this research. The collected data were analyzed using Pierre Bourdieu's theory of capital. The results of this study indicate that social inequality in education during the Covid-19 pandemic was driven by the unpreparedness of teachers and students to implement distance learning. However, teachers and students were able to overcome social inequality in education by utilizing the capital they possess, namely social capital, cultural capital, economic capital, and symbolic capital.
2024-09-20T04:28:26+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Putri Dwi, Nur’aini Inayah, Eufrasia Kartika Hanindraputri, Khalid Syaifullahhttps://journal.ittishal.net/index.php/ierj/article/view/87The Implementation of Game-Based Learning in Sociology Class X-2 at SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta2024-10-10T08:44:41+00:00Nur'aini Inayahnurainiinayah@unesa.ac.idEufrasia Kartika Hanindra Putrieufrasiahanindraputri@unesa.ac.idPutri Dwi Permata Indahputriindah@unesa.ac.idKhalid Syaifullahkhalidsyaifullah@unesa.ac.id
The evolving demands of the times necessitate that educators develop innovative and engaging learning experiences for their students. Additionally, teachers as facilitators, must also be able to understand the needs of their students. When students experience a decline in motivation during lessons, it is necessary for teachers to take action. This situation occurred in class X-2 at SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta. The categorization results showed that 66% of the students had low motivation in learning. Therefore, it is essential for the teacher to take action to address the low learning motivation among the students. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing game-based learning to increase students' motivation. The research was conducted through classroom action research over two cycles. Both cycles applied game-based learning to the material on various social phenomena and social research. The number of students participating in the study was 36. Data collection was carried out through observation and reflection after the lessons were conducted. The results showed an increase in students' learning motivation after the intervention. Thus, it can be concluded that the implementation of game-based learning can be an innovative and engaging alternative for students.
2024-10-10T04:29:40+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Nur'aini Inayah, Eufrasia Kartika Hanindra Putri, Putri Dwi Permata Indah, Khalid Syaifullah
